Short-Term Respite
Tassie Mates offers Short-Term Respite supports that are customised to each participant’s goals, preferences, and individual support needs. These planned respite supports provide a temporary change from daily routines while continuing to promote personal development, independence, and overall wellbeing.
We deliver Short-Term Respite using flexible support ratios, including 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4, depending on what is funded in the participant’s NDIS plan and what is appropriate to ensure safe, effective, and meaningful support.
Our Short-Term Respite supports may include:
-
A structured break from everyday routines
-
Capacity building and skill development to support independence
-
Opportunities for social connection and community participation
-
Planned time for families and informal supports to rest and recharge
We take a flexible, collaborative approach to planning and delivering Short-Term Respite. We work closely with participants, families, support coordinators, and members of the participant’s support network to ensure supports are safe, well-planned, goal-focused, and aligned with NDIS funding.
